Pierwsza wizyta - Stomatologia Wichlińscy

Prevention package as part of the first visit

Together with the team of hygienists and dentists from Stomatologia Wichlinscy, we have created a healthy teeth prevention package.

We know from experience that the first step is the hardest, which is why our patients are invited to an appointment right away, where we will perform hygiene and a dental check-up.
In one appointment, we will remove tartar from your teeth and polish them. Then, on the cleaned teeth, the dentist will perform an inspection using a microscope or magnifying glasses to look at the teeth in detail. At the end of the appointment, we will perform fluoridation.

Hygienization and review with individually tailored treatment plan?

It's a recipe for a healthy smile for every patient!

Then you've come to the right place! Our skilled team of hygienists and dentists work to make your treatment comfortable, reduce the stress of office visits and achieve the smile you dream of!

Prevention, including regular visits to the dentist, is the best idea to prevent serious dental problems and allows you to enjoy a healthy whole mouth. Many people forget about the dentist's recommendations, are afraid to visit or do not have time to perform regular dental check-ups. In the offices of Stomatologia Wichlinska dentists perform inspections in magnifying glasses and under a microscope, thanks to which they can take a close look at teeth and detect the development of caries bacteria at an early stage.
In addition, the entire team has been trained and prepared to work with patients who have concerns and feel fear of visiting the dentist.

What does a dental review look like?

In the first part of the visit, the dentist analyses the completed health questionnaire. The questions in the questionnaire for our patients relate to general health, medication taken and allergies.
After a short discussion about your needs and previous experiences, the dentist invites you to sit in the chair and, under the microscope or magnification of the so-called magnifying glasses, the examination begins, where he or she assesses the teeth and the condition of the gums. The dentist carefully verifies whether cavities on the surface of the teeth or other disturbing changes have appeared.
For a complete picture and to deepen the dental history, the doctor orders diagnostic imaging tests. In the office of Stomatologia Wichlińscy our patients have an orthopantomographic picture - panorama. We use digital radiological diagnostics. Additional images allow us to check the condition of what is invisible or difficult to access. Digital x-rays are taken immediately during the visit.
Once the examination is complete, the dentist invites the patient to view the photos and discuss the treatment plan. On the basis of the photos and the examination of the teeth, the dentist establishes and then discusses the treatment plan. He outlines the sequence of treatments and the solutions that are available given the anatomical conditions and the result to be achieved.

Patient questions

and the doctor's (surgeon's) replies
Our surgeons, specialists in implantology, are keen to answer your questions related to the course of the procedure. Make an appointment for a consultation.
A dental checkup is an examination of the mouth to assess the condition of the teeth, mucous membranes, gums and tongue for decay, inflammation, oncological risk and other conditions.
Remember to make an appointment in advance, eat something good before your visit so that you can turn up in the waiting room in Krakow or Gorlice in a good mood, and then leave all the work in the hands of qualified dentists.
By visiting the dentist regularly and having a dental check-up, dental problems can be detected quickly. Our dentists recommend visiting the surgery at least twice a year.
He can see the condition of the current fillings - perhaps some fillings are leaking, allowing decay-causing bacteria to enter the tooth. He is able to see foci of decay, and decalcification of the enamel.
The examination of the mucous membranes and tongue is aimed at quickly diagnosing lesions such as cancer. If the dentist is in doubt, a sample is taken for histopathological examination. The examination of the gums, on the other hand, is used to assess the health of the periodontium and verify whether the teeth and gums should undergo hygienization.

Dentophobia

We know that even the smell of a dental surgery can have negative associations and evoke unpleasant memories. Similar associations also apply to our patients, many of whom admit to being anxious about their visit. The sooner they communicate their fears to the dentist, the sooner he or she can react and prepare the patient appropriately for the next stages of the visit. The most important thing is to pluck up the courage to take the first step and come into the practice, and our team will take care of the rest.
We will do our best to help you overcome your fear of visiting the dentist, so that you will associate your first and every subsequent visit with nothing but positivity.
If you are afraid of the dentist - tell us when you make an appointment at the surgery. Our receptionist will pass this information on to the doctor. You will find that our staff is patient, understanding and able to explain everything calmly. You can count on the support of the Stomatologia Wichlińscy team.

Visits with the child

A child's first visit to the dentist is an important experience for the whole family. We know that the adaptation visit influences the child's further attitude towards dentists. The Wichlinski Dentistry offices welcome children big and small who want to make friends with the dentist, learn about the profession or need a quick emergency visit.

During the child's first visit to our office, we focus on getting him or her accustomed to the new place, answer all the toddler's questions and show the equipment we use in our work. After familiarisation with the office, the doctor proceeds to diagnose the condition of the young patient's teeth. At the end, we give a short instruction reminding them how to brush their teeth, and after each visit, there are pleasant surprises waiting for the brave patients at the reception desk.

Arrange your children's review today,
so that tomorrow it does not have to associate the dentist with fear.

How do you prepare your child for their first visit to the dentist?

Frequently asked questions by patients

and the doctor's (surgeon's) replies

Our surgeons, specialists in implantology, are keen to answer your questions related to the course of the procedure.

Yes, we encourage you to eat something tasty and come to the surgery in a good mood.
Due to the anaesthetic used, it is usually possible to eat meals and drink any type of beverage freely about two hours after the visit.
There are contraindications to making a scheduled appointment. Cold, runny nose, flu, raised body temperature - then it is best to reschedule the appointment. Inflammation of the upper and lower respiratory tract makes breathing difficult.
Irritation can occur during a dental procedure. Herpes is caused by an infectious virus, so postpone your dental appointment for the sake of yourself and others.
As a rule, planned surgical procedures, such as tooth extraction, should not be arranged during menstruation. The clotting of the blood is then reduced, thereby putting the patient at risk of haemorrhage.
Our dentists know that a stress-free atmosphere during the visit is crucial. They know all the procedures and recommendations of the Polish Society of Paediatric Dentistry. Every mother-to-be is safe in the hands of our dentists.

Directions

Arrive at the surgery approximately 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. At this time, a patient card will be set up and you will be asked to complete the documentation. Remember to bring your identity document with you.

Are X-rays safe?

Yes, the X-ray machines we use to work in our offices are based on digital technology so the radiation dose is minimal. Over the course of a year, each of us receives a radiation dose of 2.5 mSv (millisieverts) from the atmosphere, i.e. a daily dose of 6.8 μSv (microsieverts).

In the dental office, the radiation dose during point-of-view X-ray is 5μSv (microsievert), CBCT is 80μSv (microsievert).
We take pantomographic images at 9 years of age and pregnant women only rvg images in exceptional situations.
